Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use I Need Some.one. They explain what we do, what you agree to, and how money moves. We wrote them to be read, not skimmed past.

1.About these terms

The service is provided by I Need Some.one (“we”, “us”), the operator of ineedsome.one. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Prohibited Tasks policy.

These terms are written in English and translated into other languages. If a translation differs, the English version applies.

2.Who can use the service

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  • You may have one account. The information you give us (email, name, country of residence) must be true.
  • You may not use the service if we have banned you, or if the law of your country forbids you to.
  • You are responsible for everything done with your account and your wallet.

3.What we do, and what we don’t

I Need Some.one is a marketplace. A requester posts a task, a worker offers to do it, and the payment is held by an escrow smart contract until the work is approved.

We are not a party to the task itself. The requester and the worker make the agreement between them; we are not the worker’s employer or agent, and workers act independently. We do not guarantee that a task will be done, or done well, but the escrow, the proof rules and the dispute process exist so that money only moves when the agreed work is delivered.

The escrow is a smart contract on the Base network, not a bank account, and we are not a bank, a payment institution or an exchange.

Your money moves only when you sign. After the review window ends, anyone can trigger payment to the worker. We can move funds only inside a disputed or frozen Deal, only between the two parties.

4.Your wallet

Payments use USDC on the Base network only. Sending other tokens or using another network can lose your money for good. Card and bank purchases of USDC are provided by Coinbase under its own terms; we never hold or receive fiat money.

Your wallet is self-custody: it is protected by your passkey (or is your own external wallet). We never hold your keys and cannot recover a lost passkey or undo a transaction. Keep your passkey safe and export your key if you want a backup.

Blockchain transactions are final once confirmed. We pay the network fees for transactions made with the in-app wallet; with your own external wallet you pay them yourself.

5.Requests and offers

  • Describe the task truthfully and only post tasks that are legal and allowed by the Prohibited Tasks policy. Every request is checked, partly by automated systems, before it is published; a moderator may hold or reject it.
  • A fixed reward is locked in escrow before the request is published (at least 1 USD). A request open to offers is funded when you choose someone.
  • A request stays open for offers for 14 days. The requester can extend it, up to 90 days from funding in total; the money stays in escrow meanwhile.
  • An offer is binding while it is active. Prices are agreed only through offers on the platform, not in chat.
  • Keep the conversation and the payment on the platform. Sharing contact details to deal outside it, or asking to be paid outside the escrow, is not allowed.

6.Deals and escrow

When a requester chooses an offer they sign a proposal with the exact terms: price, deadline, proof required, review window and fees. The terms are fixed from that moment (each Deal shows a terms fingerprint). They change only as described under “Changing a running Deal” below, and only when both sides agree on the platform. The Deal becomes binding when the worker confirms.

The worker has 1 hours to confirm. Until then the requester can withdraw the proposal.

The worker delivers the proof the Deal asks for; payment can only be requested once every required item is there. Photo proof for physical tasks should show the Deal’s challenge code.

The requester then has the review window (1 days, or 2 if chosen at posting) to approve, ask for changes (up to 2 times per milestone) or open a dispute. If the window ends without a response, the payment can be released to the worker.

For milestones, each stage is delivered, reviewed and paid on its own.

7.Changing a running Deal

  • Added work: the requester can lock the money for new milestones (at most 20 milestones and one year of work per Deal). They become part of the Deal only when the worker accepts; if the worker declines or the requester withdraws first, the money goes back to the requester. Added milestones follow the Deal’s rules and start after the current plan.
  • Paying part early: while the work is in progress, the requester can pay part of the current milestone to the worker at any time, for example an amount agreed in the chat or the cost of an item the worker bought. The rest stays locked and the work carries on unchanged. A single payment’s item budget is paid first and carries no fee; the reward part carries the usual platform fee. A payment made this way cannot be taken back.
  • Agreed split: either side can offer to divide the current milestone’s payment, and optionally to end the Deal after it. It settles as soon as the other side accepts, with no dispute fee; the platform fee applies to the worker’s share as usual. A new submission, a change request or a dispute cancels a pending offer.

8.Fees

  • Platform fee: 10% of the reward, taken from the worker’s payment when it is released. The requester pays the reward and nothing more.
  • An item budget (money for something the worker buys for you) carries no fee.
  • Dispute fee: 5% of the reward, charged only when we have to rule on a dispute and split the money. It is shared by how much each side lost, and each side pays only from its own share. A ruling that gives everything to one side carries no dispute fee.
  • Tips go to the worker in full.
  • Every fee is shown before you sign, and the amounts in your signed Deal are the ones that apply.

9.Worker security deposit

A requester can ask for a security deposit, which the worker locks when confirming the Deal. By default it is 10% of the reward (at least 1 and at most 100 USD, never more than the reward); the requester can set a different amount instead, within their account’s limit for one deal. The amount is shown before the worker confirms.

  • The deposit comes back to the worker in full when the job ends normally, including after a partial ruling or an agreed split. A dispute that times out without a ruling returns it too, unless the worker opened that dispute after the free part of the milestone’s time (then the late share below applies), or the dispute began after the deadline and grace with nothing delivered (then it counts as disappearing).
  • Backing out in the first 25% of a milestone’s time is free. Backing out later, delivered or not, costs 50% of the deposit.
  • Disappearing (delivering nothing by the deadline plus 12 hours’ grace) costs the whole deposit, whether the requester closes the Deal or the worker backs out first. A ruling that finds misconduct can award part or all of it to the requester; the rest goes back to the worker and the Deal ends.
  • Any part of a deposit that is lost goes to the requester. We never keep it.

10.Cancelling and backing out

  • A requester can cancel a funded request and get a full refund as long as no worker has confirmed a Deal.
  • A worker who can’t do the job can choose “I can’t do it”: the requester is refunded the current and every later milestone; milestones already paid stay paid (the deposit rules above apply). It counts against the worker’s completion rate. It is not possible while a dispute is open.
  • If the worker delivers nothing by the deadline plus 12 hours, nothing can be submitted any more and the requester can take back what is not yet paid.

11.Disputes

Either side can open a dispute while a milestone is in progress, until its deadline plus 12 hours’ grace; once the work is delivered, the requester can open one during the review window. Our team can also freeze a milestone for review at any time while it is running. Both then have 24 hours to give a statement and files. Our team may ask either side questions or for more files.

We decide on the evidence: the signed terms, the chat, the submissions and the statements. We can give the milestone’s money to one side, or split it, and decide whether the Deal continues with the next milestone or ends (later milestones are then refunded). If we have not decided within 7 days, the contract settles it and the Deal ends: the worker’s claim is paid if work was delivered, otherwise the requester is refunded.

You can settle between yourselves at any time. Our decision settles the Deal on the platform; it does not take away rights you have under mandatory law.

12.Your conduct

  • No fake proof, fake reviews, impersonation, harassment or threats.
  • No tasks or items from the Prohibited Tasks policy.
  • No attempts to take a Deal or its payment off the platform.
  • No interfering with the service, the smart contract or other users’ accounts.

13.Chats and files are kept as evidence

Messages and files in offers and Deals are stored permanently so that disputes can be decided fairly. “Delete” hides a message from the other person; the original is kept. Our team reads conversations only when a dispute is open or something is reported, and every such access is logged.

14.Reviews

After a Deal ends, each side can review the other. Reviews must be honest and about the Deal. We may remove reviews that break these terms.

15.Warnings, suspension and bans

If you break these terms we may warn you, suspend your account for a period, or ban it for good. A ban also blocks the email and wallets of the account from opening a new one. We tell you why.

A sanction never takes your money: you can still finish or settle running Deals, answer disputes and withdraw. To appeal, reply to our email or write to support@ineedsome.one.

You can close your account when no Deal is running and nothing is owed to you.

16.Responsibility and liability

The service is provided as it is. Blockchains, wallets and smart contracts carry risks we cannot remove, such as network outages, bugs and the loss of a passkey.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the platform fees we received from your Deals in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

You are responsible for the tasks you post or take on, and for following the law where the task is done.

17.Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell you before an important change applies and ask you to accept it. Running Deals always keep the terms both sides signed.

18.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes with us are settled by the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul, without affecting the consumer rights and the courts mandatory law gives you where you live.
